Summary
Court proceedings had been initiated by the wife in Hungary. The Hungarian proceedings were regarding parental responsibility as well as child maintenance and status proceedings for divorce. Following the commencement of the Hungarian proceedings, the mother and the child came to England. A transfer request was made by the Hungarian court under Article 15. The English court held that Article 15 could be invoked only in parental responsibility proceedings.
