Summary
Pursuant to Article 19(2) of Regulation (EC) No 44/2001, Italian courts do not have jurisdiction over a labour dispute between a flight assistant on flights taking off from an Italian airport and a Belgian airline. In fact, said employee mainly carried out his work aboard airplanes flying the Belgian flag and therefore the place where he habitually carried out his work is Belgium, where the seat of the company that has employed him is also located.
