Summary
Application of Brussels II a Regulation provisions to the enforcement of a foreign court decision from Sweden in Spain in the context of a divorce case. Court decision: the court decides that the Swedish court decision must be enforced in Spain in as much as it fulfils the requirements of arts. 21 and 37 of Brussels II a Regulation. The court makes an effective examination of the formal requirements of Brussels IIa Regulation provisions on the recognition of a judgement given in a Member State before giving its judgement.
