Summary
Parental responsibility proceedings. The court was charged with the appeal against the first instance court’s judgment. It held that the first instance had correctly assumed its international jurisdiction. German courts were internationally competent pursuant to Art 12 (1) (a), (b) Brussels IIa. The court however did not make further explanations on this assumption. It stated that the jurisdiction established by Art 12 preceded the rule in Art 8 (1) by referring to Art 8 (2) Brussels IIa.
