Summary
The plaintiff is the son of the defendant and lives in Michigan/USA. The defendant lives in Germany. The plaintiff sues for maintenance for a period of time until 2010. The court stated that US law is applicable and not German law because the Hague Protocol is only applicable from 2011 on.
