Summary
The applicant lives in Ghana and wants to visit her parents who live in Germany. Therefore, she applied for a visa. This was, however, declined because there were doubts whether the applicant would return to Ghana. This was confirmed by the courts. As for the question of processing costs, the court stated that the financial situation of the applicants’ parents in Germany must be taken into account under Art. 4 Hague Maintenance Protocol.
